Dear beloved guests,
Greetings from Thasos and the beautiful Golden Beach. We do hope that you and your families are all healthy on this pandemic crisis that the world is facing.
At the Hotel Fedra, we have made the Health and Safety of our guests and staff a top priority. Following the government directions, we have suspended the opening of the hotel until the 19th of June, as part of the measures to decrease the risk of spreading the virus. Some of us though, continued to work from home to be in touch with our guests and others have been working at the hotel in order to carry out the necessary maintenance and ensure that the equipment and facilities of the Hotel Fedra are safe and up to the necessary quality standards.
Nowadays, we are working hard to make sure that we meet the latest directions from the Greek National Public Health Organization (GNPHO) (until further notice) on hygiene and cleaning and be ready to welcome you back, with the assurance that we will maintain for you, the utmost health protocols and comfort, during your stay.
Measures include:
- Correct and regular hand-washing which is vital to assist fighting the spread of viruses. In our meetings, our teams are reminded that hygiene starts with this simple process. It’s important for their health and for our guests too.
- Regular staff meetings and trainings regarding the protocols and the actions that need to be taken towards it, on housekeeping and other divisions will be continuous and implementing the hygiene protocols will be monitored,.
- Masks and gloves will be available for staff and guests.
- Special attention has also been placed to sanitize public contact points prior to opening and onwards, whereas hand sanitizers will be in position at those areas, such as the reception and La Terrasse restaurant.
“During your Stay”
Following and complying with the latest protocols regarding Covid-19 that are set from the Greek National Public Health Organization (until further notice), we would like to inform you about the following:
- The Housekeeping staff is taking all appropriate precautions while entering every guest room with particular attention paid to high-touch items.
- Your room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before your arrival and after your departure.
- The linen and the towels are washed in over 70C degrees.
- Some amenities and decorative items have been replaced or completely removed from the guest room, following the advice of the Greek National Public Health Organization.
- To preserve “social distancing” and to hold on to the new health and safety protocols, there will be no daily cleaning service, and linen will be changed every three nights stay. Nevertheless, you may discuss an individual cleaning plan with our staff, to ensure maximum comfort and safety for all.
- We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting public areas, focusing on the reception, La Terrasse Restaurant, door handles, bathrooms and even room keys. We use electrostatic sanitizer, UV lamps and sanitizers from our designated hotel associates of the cleaning division
“During your meal”
At La Terrasse Restaurant following the official guidelines of the health organization (until further notice):
- The restaurant area will be disinfected regularly.
- The tables will be placed at a minimum distance of 0,70 meters from each other and the maximum capacity of each table will be 6 persons (until further notice from the GNPHO).
- The restaurant staff will be taking all the safety measures according to the official protocol.
- The linen table-clothes will be replaced and washed in over 70C degrees every time a guest is leaving.
- During the breakfast buffet, designated members of the staff will serve you, wearing a face-shield and gloves, while no guest will be allowed to contact any item on the buffet. Furthermore guests will be served a table at a time on the buffet area.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you for the trust and loyalty you have shown us over the years. At the Hotel Fedra, we have proudly represented the traditions of Greek hospitality, and time has shown us that it is always in the most difficult moments that our values of understanding, respect, and outstanding care for our guests, have made a real difference. We have always been dedicated to serve, and this will not be any different today or indeed in the future.
